1- Never mind that this is Constitutionally reckless.

Never mind that everyone who claimed Trump is too authoritarian now want him to be too authoritarian.

This is just dumb (cont). https://twitter.com/axios/status/1245881194253881358
2- What would be the point of locking down Alaska (143 confirmed cases, 9 hopitalized, 3 deaths) or Hawaii (215 confirmed cases, 15 hospitalized, 1 death)?

So confine it to the other 48 States? Well... (cont)
3- Take North Dakota for example. There is nothing to suggest any emerging risk. Why needlessly burden the State until a model or trend emerges that suggests danger?
4- South Dakota, same thing.
5- Nebraska, same thing. There's no risk of overrunning the hospital system, even if the IMHE model is correct.
6- There are more states like this. I could list several more examples. Frankly, some states are locked down that maybe sbouldn't be.

To me, the goal is to optimize use of the healthcare system while balancing the economic impact.
7- Locking down every single state just suffocates more of the economy and (unintended consequence) drives more hospitals out of business (or they furlough workers) because they become so under-utilized.
8- The Trump Admin is rightly leaving this to the states, county executives, and mayors. If there's a problem, it's the herd mentality of this group is rushing to implement more draconian measures than their peers.
9- If anything, the Trump Admin needs to work harder on the back-to-work plan. Eventually we'll need "green zones" and "red zones", with different guidance / rules for each.

It can't be a broad-brush plan in the future, and doesn't need to be a broad-brush mitigation now.
10- This is the danger of a society obsessed with virtue signaling. We may end up burning down a forest to kill a a finite number of beehives.
