PM was just asked about international students in his press conference. He say Dutton will "have more to say" in coming days.

Frankly, not good enough. Hundreds of thousands of international students are at risk of going hungry or homeless right now. They need income support.

He then mentioned that international students have to declare they can support themselves for a year.

True, but that that declaration wasn't made DURING A PANDEMIC. Students rely on work and family support during normal times – two things that aren't possible for many now.

He went on to suggest "the alternative for [international students] is to return to their home country."

100s of students are telling me the lack of flights and horrendous financial situation has left them stuck. Plus their studies are still here. ScoMo needs a reality check

And get this. The PM just invited people from overseas stuck here "who are nurses, doctors and others with critical skills" to sign up to help Australia deal with #Covid19.

He's happy to take their help, but won't help international students in need. Disgusting.
