1) Dude I occasionally chat with when walking dogs started on "doctors would close the country for two years" and "it's just old people dying, we're overreacting" and I told him to go fuck himself at top volume in a public park, so maybe I'm not as cool about this as I thought.

2) Joking aside, this country is in for a survivorship bias backlash you won’t believe. If we manage to mitigate this, we’re going to be ass-deep in people saying “I don’t know anybody who died, shutting down was a mistake” and “experts ruined the economy.”

3) Never mind the toxic attitude and supernaturalism that’ll come out of the churches/preachers that didn’t social distance and don’t have fatalities. They’re going to double down on “God saved you because we’re RIGHT!”

4) This is of course the gist of @RadioFreeTom great book on expertise. The history of the world is experts trying to keep dumb motherfuckers from killing themselves, and dumb motherfuckers saying “Nothing happened. What was the big deal?”

5) I also plainly need to start working on this, because if I don't get my head right, I know first Hollywood party after this is over, some contrarian exec opens his mouth, I’m going to throw hands. /xx
