Shouldn't a society that cares about the rights, safety, and the respectful treatment of women be against prostitution and the porn industry?

Although one might argue that both of these can exist in a free society, they severely degrade women and normalize their degradation.

While a woman might want to earn money by charging people for sex, it's pretty bad to accept it as normal that women can be treated so horribly and disrespectfully without any consequences.

Just because a woman agrees to it, that doesn't make the act less evil.

While others might want to act as "adult actors" and some might want to watch them, the porn industry is no less disgusting.

Women are treated like slaves by major corporations, depicted in extremely degrading ways, and handled like violable objects by many consumers.

I'm not saying the two P's should be outright banned in modern societies, but maybe, if they exist, they should be strictly regulated and not be treated as places and industries where we throw values away and people can commit horrible behavior without social/legal consequences.
