"perks of being a wallflower" is one of the best films i have ever seen. logan lerman plays charlie So well. it's always best (not necessarily needed) to read the book before viewing the film, or you might see it wrong. i can promise you, that they did NOT

in the way that charlie befriends sam and patrick, how he's always so protective of them and listen/ do whatever they say because his whole childhood he'd be overpowered by his aunt, and taken advantage of. in the way that he doesn't want to kiss mary elizabeth, or have sam
caress his thigh because it brings back the dark memories that happened on his birthday many years ago, in the way that he automotically feels guilty from no matter what he does because he's Always gonna feel like what happened was his fault. they did Not just "sprinkle" that in.
it grew gradually, and if you read the book, it's easier to see. this movie is astonishingly heart breaking, but so fucking beautiful at the same time. please do not listen to that one tweet and decide it's "cancelled" simply because they weren't educated.
