A word about Captain Brett E. Crozier. He is a flight certified fighter pilot, served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has never had any disciplinary action taken against him prior to Thomas Modly relieving him of command.

The letter Cpt. Crozier sent to the Navy was supposed to be within the chain of command. How it was intercepted and published by the San Francisco Chronicle is unknown at this point.
Democratic leaders of the Armed Services committee have promised a full investigation.

A Navy CPO I know, states that Cpt Crozier will likely be allowed to "retire with full pay," and due to his service record, and devotion to duty, will likely land a good paying, highly respected job in the private sector at well established fim.

Those who had a hand in his firing may find themselves going to Crozier for work once they leave public office.

Acting Secretary of the Navy, Thomas Modly is a former naval officer who was appointed by Trump without Senate confirmation.
