gaius told merlin that morgana had visions in her dreams that would come true since she was A CHILD & he would just lie and tell her they’re just dreams to “protect her” ... he literally trapped morgana in her own mind & made her go crazy to protect himself from uther’s rath.

time and time again proved that gaius was a coward during the war against magic when he abandoned his loved ones for uthers sake. & when he could redeem himself he just made merlin constantly overthink ab everything when he already had the lizard on his neck as well. fuck gaius.

uther and gaius were the villains of merlin. and everything that becomes of morgana, merlin, gwen, and arthur is the result of uther and gaius’ actions, ways, influence, and guidance. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

and lastly let me add they’re so young when we meet them. 19-21 ish? and we already see how uther and gaius’ ways have influenced morgana, arthur, and merlin. it’s just so sad that the ppl that were supposed to protect n guide them did exactly the opposite. it’s heartbreaking :(
