/10: My senior resident @monikahye and I just finished a brief rotation on a COVID ward as part of the #TigerTeam deployed to the wards as @MGHMedicine addresses the surge of COVID + patients. The lights were bright, but we can only really summarize our experience as "wow!" ...
/10: We both volunteered to help and hope we were useful to our medicine colleagues. We were happy to assist an established ALL-STAR TEAM. The team on the COVID ward is incredible.
/10: The hospital medicine unit group, the nurses (many were re-deployed from other places), case managers, social workers, PTs, unit secretaries, @mgh_id, med seniors (❤️) were very inspiring to work with.
/10: The team was so dedicated to helping patients in what is truly an unprecedented time. It is clear that COVID-19 is unpredictable in who it will hit hard, and that is really tough to accept, but everyone there bands together and works for what is best for the patient.
/10: We were truly blessed with an amazing medicine attending who was very kind, stayed with us always, had incredible compassionate bedside manner, and kept the rads jokes to a minimum :). We both loved him and were sad to part ways.
/10: The daily pep talks/check-ins from @katrinarmstrong, @DrDanRestrepo and @MattisonMelissa kept morale high. Our friends and attendings checking in from @MGHImaging also reminded us how supported we were in this endeavor.
/10: Monica and I experienced highs and lows together in our short time on the wards, but it was the first time I worked so closely in a team for a continuous period with one my radiology co-residents. I could not have asked for a better partner.
/10: Monica literally blew members of medicine away with her knowledge of trials, proposed mechanisms of action, and I was also super touched by how much she truly cared about her patients. She was a fantastic senior resident. Except for the time she pimped me on Hep B labs.
/10: We are handing off our duties to our brilliant co-residents Matt Li and RJ Dhami. We know the patients we cared for are in excellent and brilliant hands.
/10: To @MGHMedicine, @mgh_id, and all the med seniors (❤️), thank you for all you are doing during this time. We are happy we got to work with you all.
