I have an interesting thread to start: most fucked up thing you've ever been told at a horse show. I'll start:
Ages 8-16 everyone was CERTAIN I was a girl when they saw me at horse shows. Like they were confident calling me miss from 3 feet away lmao and still sometimes to this day I get mistaken for a girl at horse shows if I'm wearing breeches sunglasses and a hat.
BUT most fucked up is when I was about 10 or 11 and at a AA hunter show and a trainer walked up to me and said " oh wow you are so little and thin! As long as you don't eat very much until you age out you could win EVERYTHING in the eq ring"
Myself and one of my trainers look very young still, and we have been told many times we have the PERFECT body type for equitation and hunters. I'm 5'7" and 118 pounds and she's the same height and even less weight wise. We are NATURALLY like this ( and eat like hogs) (cont)
Obviously though... if it were anyone else that would be considered very very thin and so for them to be promoting that when your average 5'6" or even shorter persons healthy or even thin weight is more than what I weigh, that's a little messed up to promote at competition lol
