Here's how you know if the publication you're reading has any knowledge of military protocol or basic national security:

If the headline says "begged for help" and not "violated his security clearance and/or opsec" don't even click.

They have no idea wtf they are talking about
Any journalist who responds to this saying,

"The Captain's main priority is the health and safety of his crew" cannot be trusted as a source for national security reporting. They have no clue and should be ignored.
It's so outrageous to watch this very serious NatSec scandal be covered by the Orange Man Bad press corps that literally doesn't know a BDU from a Class A.
