Wanted a mask for grocery shopping but didn’t want to contribute to NY’s PPE shortage for medical workers, so I learned to make this reusable, no-sew home version from the Japanese Creations blog.

THREAD

You will need:
1 hankerchief (or square piece of dense cotton cloth measuring 16in x 16in)
2 hair ties or elastics

1) Wash the cloth in boiling water between each use and lie flat

2) Fold the top and bottom over until both flaps meet in the middle. Flip it around

3) Fold the top and bottom over until both flaps meet in the middle again. Flip it around

4) Slide your elastics 3/4ths from the edge, then fold the left and right portions in
