The detainee is reading a statement written by 62 inmates who launched a hunger strike Thursday, begging that they be released.

“If we have the unfortunate luck that we die, we can at least be with our families,” he said.
English translation:
This is the second recent hunger strike launched inside South FL immigration detention centers. Detainees are scared to die behind bars amid the coronavirus pandemic.
