It's often the case that ppl dwell on or desire to reach concrete conclusions of an ambiguous matter.

But we're never gonna get the answers to everything. Regarding the Quran, we should focus on the mukhamaat verses, not waste time with, "What could Allah have intended?"

When +
...we dwell on the mutashaabihaat verses in the Quran, we may end up interpreting it to suit our personal beliefs, or introducing innovations.

Even the first scholars only focused on the fundamentals as they were wise enough and feared Allah lest they be led astray. +
... @aamullanee pointed me to some very important hadith...

"Ponder over the creation of Allah, and don't ponder over the being of Allah."

"Many people recite the Quran while the Quran is cursing them."

Don't go to ppl who claim to be schallahs in Arabic when a second year +
...university student in Arabic can destroy them easily, or to ppl who have "self-studied."

Not saying don't study it in detail.
Take heed. Learn your religion. Know Allah.

But this can all be done without falling into disbelief, since we must realize our knowledge is limited.
