A few years ago on my 18th birthday my dad paid for a songwriting lesson with @CodySIO as a bday gift in hopes it would inspire me to write.

Flash forward 3 years and Im telling him I cant play guitar so cant write a song and hes like YOU HAVE A PIANO AND A SAXOPHONE GO WRITE

For context: I was showing my dad a Rise Against song and he was like you could write like that if you wanted. And Im like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So yeah I can drum I can play piano and I can play the sax. I can do slan poetry and write words. I STILL CANT PLAY GUITAR

I guess what I am saying is I should have asked for a guitar lesson cause my dad is sad I havent written anything for a couple years and that makes me sad.

AKA I wish @CodySIO was doing Skype lessons again so I felt inspired to actually do something.

IM SORRY DAD I FAILED YOU

But seriously I wanna turn poems into songs and dont know how music theory works. Send help.

Also I just reminded self I STILL havent shown @EricSUrrea my fancy(ish) new kit.

I think I disappointed my dad with this thread...
