all the ways you can love someone. Shiro is not oblivious nor is he oblivious to his friends and fratbros having their eyes set on keith so what shiro does is take k to his parties and hangouts but never leaving keith's side and keeping him in his lap. To his friends he-

says they're just really close as siblings and it's hard to miss how keith follows shiro around like a clingy puppy.

-Another AU that is very tame and has no wips yet, inspired by the song 18 by Anarbor:

Keith just turned 18, he's an angry little rebel and lives with his dad. He sneaks out to the bar and finds bad boy-looking college student Shiro who drinks and smokes and has-

tattoos on his arms and piercings. He's the first keith tries flirting with but in truth keith just wants whatever oldrr bad boy guy he finds to piss off his dad and everyone else bc he's going through a rebel phase. As they talk, Shiro's sees right through keith, knows that-

if keith cant land with shiro, he'll try with the next guy and who knows if the kid will end up in a ditch. So, shiro plays along for now. Keith gets drunk off the hook and shiro takes him home. Keith thinks he's gonna get his cherry popped but shiro puts him to bed. Thus-

begins the story. Shiro becomes Keith's new boyfriend the day after. They barely know each other, but keith is happy hanging around, sneaking away from home to hang out in shiro's apartment. They dont kiss but keith doesn't seem to mind. If it weren't for keith calling him-

hos boyfriend, you'd think shiro was babysitting a bratty teenager. But keith is a lot less tough than he pretends.

Keith's dad knows by now where keith sneaks off to. Shiro doesn't have the man's number but he knows keith's pin now and texts the man updates. Somehow-

shiro gets the man to understand that shiro has no ill intentions and although dad kogane is irritated when he drops keith off sometimes, he just frowns but doesn't argue. And keith is satisfied with seeing the displeasure.

Shiro thinks keith will get bored at some point soon but it's months and nothing changed. Early on keith asks if he can move in with shiro and shiro thinks they're off to a hwavy start but months later it's actually pleasant and amusing to have keith around.

And shiro feels calmer knowing what keith is up to. The kid opens up to him all too easy. Shiro scares the bullies away by picking keef up and kissing his cheek where the bullies can see, leading keith to his motorcycle with a possessive arm around his shoulders.

Shiro lets keith smoke, both cigarettes and weed, and drink heavy liquor, but it's always at shiro's place where he can control the situation. Keith is just happy getting to try new things and feeling free.

Things shift only when they're having movie night one night and-

cuddled up. Keith isn't watching the movie anymore, Shiro noticed, but he hasn't said anything so Shiro waits.

"Shiro," Keith says, voice soft, matching the mood. But it's laced with disguised worry and Shiro can pick it out all too easy nowadays. So he turns his head and makes a soft 'hm?' sound.

"Kiss me?"

Shiro freezes up. And he can see the moment Keith notices and lowers his gaze in embarrassment and probably shame and self doubt.

Shiro is caught up between two choices: Kissing Keith. Or playing it off, let him down gently. Keith expects it the latter.

But slowly, Shiro's hand comes up to take a hold of Keith's chin, tilts his head up again. "You sure?"

Keith doesn't look sure, who knows what he expexts to happen after this, but Shiro knows Keith probably feels breath swallowing up his own anxiety and going through with it.

So of course Keith nods but he's blushind and he's pouting a little and his brows are furrowed. Shiro's hand slides from Keith's chin to the back of his neck and the skin is heated. Keith's blush deepens as Shiro pulls him in.

It's not Keith's first kiss, Shiro knows because-

Keith told him. But Shiro is embarrassed to remember how he kissed in high school so he's barely barely surprised at Keith's trembling hands clinging to him when Shiro is keeping the kiss tame and chaste.

It feels long but it's not. Kissing Keith is nice, it's as sweet as Keith is and Shiro finds himself reluctant to pull back but he does because Keith is entranced but he's still tense like he's expecting something to happen.

Nothing does, the night ends like it always does.

But something shifts between them.

It's not like Shiro avoided touching Keith before but he never did it just because. Now, a warm hand to Keith's neck is something almost natural and Keith relaxes under the touch, leans in, tilts his head back to smile at Shiro with a sweet blush on his cheeks.

Keith has also never been one for touches. It was almost funny to Shiro how Keith only ever got clingy when people were around to watch.

Now, Keith leans against Shiro's side casually, leans his head on Shiro's shoulder shyly and bolder when Shiro doesn't pull away.

It's not like Shiro never noticed Keith was attractive, but it was a passing thought when you were more amused about the kid purposefully wearing as much black as he can get, when Shiro sat keith down to fix his eyeliner and gift him a better one than the 1 dollar garbage.
