"Even if you don't feel sick, you could be carrying it. Just one person w/ the virus can infect another 40 who can, in turn, infect thousands."

Whitmer talks more about her decision to suspend face-to-face learning for K-12 schools for the rest of the school year.

"There's not a one size fits all for something as complicated as education 1.5 million Michigan kids," she says.

Whitmer renews her call for health care workers who live outstate think about coming to SE Michigan where hotspots are located.

Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, the state's top doctor, says SE Michigan hospitals are "at capacity and running out of PPE."

Whitmer is asked about the state not reporting the number of 'recovered' patients.

She says it's important to remember people do recover, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

"This is still a new virus and we are learning a lot about it," she adds.

Dr. Khaldun says it's still too early to tell how immunity will work.

Whitmer says the state will need people to help staff the TCF Center that has been turned into field hospital and more locations are being discussed.

Whitmer says she's not prepared to make any announcements about extending her 'Stay Home, Stay Safe' order.

Earlier this week, she told me it would 'probably not' end as originally planned unless cases drastically improved.
