AP presenter just said nearly 91% of the students surveyed asked that the AP exams not be canceled and left comments like, “We’ve already lost everything else (sports, proms, graduations, etc.). 😭😭😭😭😭 Poor babies.
I get it, and it’s so sad.
All AP exams can be taken from a mobile device (cell phone, chromebooks, or laptop).
Students will be able to receive the accommodations they were approved to have via the online platform.
Students will also still be awarded credit for scores of 3, 4, or 5 as in previous years.
Questions focus on applying content to scenarios because CB cannot ensure that students won’t use books or the web. Appears to be moving toward case study/scenario-based items.

No multiple choice questions.
Material related to the test will be posted on CB’s site by midday tomorrow.
Students may hand write or type their response. Handwriting will allow them to take a photo and upload it with their phone.
There will be a short AP guide released in late April among other materials so that students can practice/prepare how to take the exam at home.
Students may use the internet and books, but they cannot consult other people during the test.

No group phone calls, Reddit, impersonators, etc.

CB will not share all security mechanisms they will employ to ensure that students are not cheating.
AP teachers will receive a copy of their students’ work at the end of testing to compare with work throughout the year.
AP Test Dates
AP Coordinators have nothing else to do to prepare students for testing. CB will send credentials to registered students’ email addresses.
Let CB know if your students need devices. They’ve purchased thousands of devices to support students who need to sit for the exams.
CB will not be reopening the registration for students who are now wanting to test. There is no capacity to do that and build the new exams in such a short period of time.
