Walked up to local Lyndale restaurant to pick up food. I am the sole person standing in a parking lot, joined by 14 cars parked, idling, waiting for food. Not good, people.
Should I walk around to and ask people to turn off their car? It’s not -20, people. Complain to the restaurant?!
I’ll just add that I do not mean to rag on small businesses in survival mode. I do feel seriously unseen with all this “curbside pick up” stuff tho. I walked/biked to your business before & that’s what I’ll continue to do.
Let’s be better patrons! Let’s just turn our cars off while we wait. And maybe we can get some businesses to ask this of their customers and who knows, maybe a city ordinance?
What’s going to take us down? The virus or hyper increased car culture?!
This calls for @WedgeLIVE
At least I brought a drink with me?! I’m seriously disturbed by this
I can now report a #carbucks like situation approaching where parking spaces are full and cars are blocking sidewalks waiting to pull into lot
Ok at least there are now two groups of people here on foot although not clear if they parked and walked or actually walked to a local restaurant from their home
