Imagine that all the effects of Covid were only happening to you: physical deterioration, uncertainty as to if you’ll live, finances devastated, you lose your job & nearly all relationships. Imagine that there were groups of people saying horrible things about you, too. 1/8
You are isolated and living alone, with no way to physically, financially, or emotionally end the infection of the virus. Imagine that the virus w/all it’s effects was injected into you by SBC leaders—specific ones who know what they did & its damage to you. 2/8
Imagine that they had a cure they could have given you before it had progressed to the point of irreversible damage, but they refused. Imagine you sat alone getting sicker for 7 mos before your current fully deteriorated state. 3/8
Imagine they have the cure for your current deteriorated condition & are the only ones who do. Imagine being as sick as possible for 160 days. Alone. And leaders who know you and who know you got this virus from some of them have the cure. Imagine that those who have the cure 4/8
ignore you and their peers wish they‘d cure you, but won’t rock the boat to force it. Imagine your condition is so serious that your doctors are starting to realize they can’t keep up with your needs. You may lose their help because they’ve had to take on such much to make up 5/8
for the abandonment by those with the cure. Imagine that those responsible for your infection ignore you. You assume it’s because they fear curing you because they want to keep the ingredients of the cure for something else someday—something they care about. 6/8
Seriously, imagine this. Take every discomfort/fear you have about covid/economy/future/isolation. Put it in the context of being alone w/that reality, having contracted the virus through SBC leaders jointly infecting you, & them having the cure but refusing to give it to you.7/8
Then sit in every bit of that pain, fear, loss, silence, and lack of care for 160 days. While they have the cure.

It’s not hard to imagine.

And here I am feeling disappointed and stupid because it never fails to surprise me that whether I try to explain privately or publicly, it’s silence and a complete inability to be moved by an unnecessary, perpetually devastation that they have the authority and means to fix.
