I've really got to say it now, these Doctor Who watch-and-tweet sessions ( #TheInvasion, #SpyMaster. #SpaceForAll) are not only great fun during these troubled times, but also have greatly, gratefully restored my faith in the #DoctorWho fandom and my enthusiasm for #DoctorWho.
After finishing my Classic Who marathon back in October, I wanted to continue onwards with the Eighth Doctor by listening to his Big Finish audios, but that got sidelined due to both my personal life and the hype surrounding and leading up to Series 12 at the time. #DoctorWho
By the time Series 12 finally arrived, I actually watched Spyfall parts 1 and 2 on the big screen, but I haven't watched any and all of the following episodes at all after that. #DoctorWho
This was not only because of my personal life becoming rocky since the year started, but also because of the toxicity of the fandom on both Twitter and YouTube, being overwhelming to me to the point where my enthusiasm for #DoctorWho diminished greatly.
This brilliant thread by @TrilbeeReviews can give you a good idea of how I felt during the last few months, when it comes to #DoctorWho: https://twitter.com/TrilbeeReviews/status/1222136825466294272
