We are no longer "we". It's been years since I became alone in the Ben 10 Club project. So from now on I'll be expressing my thoughts in first person. The quarantine made me wonder about the future of #Ben10 and Ben 10 Club. I'll try to explain my plans in the next few tweets.
I really want you guys to get to know me and what I'm up to in my life. I want to let you know how much #Ben10 meant and still means to me. How I created Ben 10 Club and how it changed my life.
I think the project should not be discontinued and I'll try to prove that the older Ben 10 audience isn't dead yet. I see more original content and video-expressed thoughts in the heart of what's coming next for the Ben 10 Club YouTube channel.
I want the website to receive a complete redesign and to be filled with lots of new features. It will be a major step forward and maybe a good thing to invest time in.
The future of #Ben10 is a tough topic for me. Sometimes I feel lost thinking about it. I pretty much don't want to mess up with the reboot, because it's a completely different show and it's out of my competence to try to fix things in it.
On the other hand, I kinda disagree with many things that the sequels have pulled off. But it's impossible to change big decisions about #Ben10 that have already been made. E.g. Kevin becoming good, the existence of the Rooters, etc.
I've come to the conclusion that the only way to make a good new #Ben10 show is actually to not create a new show at all. We already have a massive base that the original series has created. And A HUGE plothole of Ben removing the Omnitrix for currently unknown reason.
Will CN approve of the continuation of the original Ben 10 series? Probably not. Will Adult Swim (*referencing Samurai Jack*) air Ben 10? Probably not. But we're in 2020 and the streaming wars have begun.
A television airs what it considers to be the right thing for it's audience. Streaming services have multiple audiences. Shows are being watched on demand. So what is actually my point?
From now on I'll start to publicly support the idea of Ben 10 OS seasons 5-8. Same artstyle. Same animation. Same characters. Good old Ben 10 weirdness. One big and dramatic conclusion for the story of 10yo Ben. A possible major success for Warner and it's new platform HBO Max.
