As the weather gets nicer remember to be kind to yourself and go for a walk! State parks in Iowa are still open and offer a great variety of hiking trails! Be sure to check out http://iowadnr.gov for details on what trails are currently open.
Going along with that, all restroom facilities at state parks are currently closed due to COVID-19 until April 15th! Shelters are also closed. Just something you should know before you go

Speaking of state parks, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites because why not! First up is Ledges State Park located in Boone. I grew up going here as a kid a lot and it’s still one of my favorite places to go! https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/iowa/ledges-state-park
Another cool place I’ve been to Walnut Woods State Park in Des Moines, Iowa! https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/iowa/walnut-woods-state-park
Although is not a state park, Lime Creek Conservation Area in Mason City, Iowa is a neat place! https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/iowa/lime-creek-conservation-area
