The Scratticus Academy does not condone the recent actions in relation to Sexual assault and the lack of safety tools.

As a leader and gateway stream for new players into D&D and TTRPG Gaming the Academy recognises the importance of streaming and leading by example.
We teach our players to think about their actions and learn compassion for their fellow players through the use of safety tools.

Even when you cannot understand the issues that your players, or your viewers have faced, you should respect them
One safety tool will not fit all tables! These are simply the examples that we find work for a high turnover of gamers

You can borrow these or look up some of your own! (links at the end)
One of the Academy's core values is to always seek consent and utilise safety systems in games.

This safety document is shared with all players in a group chat before we get a game going

We also talk through all of our safety systems before we go live
Sometimes we will implement extra safety tools. For Shadows of Esteren we cycled through several bleed exercises before we settled on one that we liked.

This game featured a lot of sanity mechanics and focused on getting inside players heads so we wanted to be extra careful
Players @ThatKaylaPerson @AKellyLane @RaeDeAnneR @MakenzieLaneDA and @DnDnPaige joined me for an extensive session 0 where we talked about all of the sanity mechanics and pushed some of them off the table. We would not be touching them at all during play
Communicating with your players is SO important. Always get consent for play and give them the opportunity to avoid content that they don't want to touch on.
