Sunderland till I die was golden. Here’s how the main characters feature on the good guy scale

Jack Ross - Manager

Comes across well amongst the madness. Good with the players and is a bit of a hunk

Charlie Methven - Executive

Complete roaster. Huge ego, deluded and clearly a Tory. Patronising to anyone outside of the London postcode. Bullied a young female employee, clueless about football and wanted to turn the Stadium of Light into a Balearic nightclub.

1/10
Luke O’Nien - new player

Absolute sweetheart. Young lad trying to live his dreams. Polite, humble and passionate. Grateful for everything he has worked for. Would be proud to take him home to the parents. I wish you nothing but the best Luke, you deserve it.

9/10
Stewart Donald - Owner

Generally means well. Got caught up in the fan fare and started to believe he may be the messiah but never got to Methven levels. Made 6 final offers for Will Grigg and added an extra 3 million because Grigg has a nice song

5/10
Josh Maja - Key player

Good form meant bigger clubs were sniffing around him. Didn’t let it put him off and kept banging them in. Owners tried to paint him as greedy for not signing new deal. Fair play to Maja for getting out of that shitshow and increasing his wage 10x

7/10
Peter Farrer - Diehard fan

What a champion of a man. Passionate, funny and honest. Laughed out of despair at his clubs predicament and you feel for him. Also hates Brexit. Peter you will be receive a massive tip if I ever get a trip in your taxi.

10/10
Plenty other great characters but this lot were the protagonists. End of my round up, please let there be a season 3
