Have done five LSU games from 2019 over the last 48 hours and man, regardless of what’s going on in the world, it’s hard not to feel hopeful as a Cincinnati Bengals fan.
The way Joe Burrow processes the game is head & shoulders beyond any college QB I’ve watched. So quick to identify pressure, reaction is second nature.

You don’t need to be an elite athlete at the QB position when you’re as quick to diagnose situations in real-time as he is.
The fact that he’s eluding the most athletic defenders in the country and stumping SEC DCs on a weekly basis is nothing short of special.

Andrew Luck was the best QB prospect many of us have graded, but comparatively he seemed like a sum of his parts. Burrow has the best tape.
With that talent at WR it’s no surprise that he routinely took shots downfield vs man coverage, but his 50/50 balls often felt more like 50/0 balls, if that makes sense, with the ball placed where only the WR could realistically make a play.

& those guys sure made a lot of plays
What makes him so exciting for Bengals fans, hell, for all football fans is his ability to keep his eyes downfield and extend plays. Not only against pressure. Some QBs get antsy and force things when they have too much time, Burrow’s comfort level in/out of the pocket is amazing
Digging into Burrow’s 2018 season now. The numbers alone tell the story of a QB and passing offense that took time to click.

First 9 games: 138-258 (53.5%) 1728 yds 6 Td 4 Int

Last 4 games: 81-121 (66.9%) 1166 yds 10 Td 1 Int

Toss that UCF game in with his brilliant ‘19 tape
