Militant Atheism is commonly strawmanned as the desire to outlaw or persecute religious people. It's not. Militant Atheism is only the demand that we will always speak and say the truth even in the face of persecution from religious theocrats and bigots.

We live in a world that religion holds ideological and cultural hegemony. Religious people aren't under threat from atheists. If anything, they're under threat by other theists. Militant Atheism will protect them from persecution the same as it protects atheists.

Separation of church and state being strictly enforced is both best for atheists and theists. We hold no desire to thought police you. That belongs to the Theocrats and Orwellian dystopias. We only demand that the state be run on secular and scientific principles, never religious
