Absentee ballot requests are arriving in mailboxes of all Georgia& #39;s active voters! I received mine today. Here& #39;s what the envelope looks like, and a FAQ: https://bit.ly/3dIY4qM ">https://bit.ly/3dIY4qM&q... A thread: (1/7)
The envelope unfolds to reveal an absentee ballot request form inside. Here& #39;s mine (2/7)
Voters& #39; names and addresses are already filled out on the form. Voters need to write their date of birth and whether they want a Democratic or Republican ballot. IMPORTANT: You must write sign your name for verification (3/7)
Then use scissors to cut off the top portion of the form. The absentee ballot can be returned by mail or by email. You can take a cellphone picture of your absentee request or scan it, then email it to the county email address listed. Mine is voterreg@dekalbcountyga.gov (4/7)
If you& #39;re mailing your ballot request, fold it along the perforations and add a 55-cent first-class stamp. The address of your county& #39;s election office is pre-printed (5/7)
Then wait for your actual absentee ballot to arrive in the mail. Election officials are supposed to ship ballots to voters within three days after they receive the request (6/7)
Feel free to ask me questions, and please read more details about how this all works here: https://bit.ly/3dIY4qM ">https://bit.ly/3dIY4qM&q... (7/7)
