Sephora and Ulta are closed and, sure you can get some shit online, but money may be tight too, so here’s my drugstore makeup finds that are just as good as the expensive shit. *Disclaimer: this is petty and shit and I know it isn’t important so keep moving if this bothers you.

First things first, primer. I don’t know if primer is necessary. Like, it may be a bullshit step but I’m not fucking with it. This E.L.F. Putty primer is a perfect dupe to the expensive Tatcha one.

If you like your primers to be a little more moisturizing, I’ve heard great things about this one, but it ain’t Maire approved.

Ok, let’s pencil in those brows. The all time best pencil is Anastasia brow wiz but we are broke and we ain’t got time for that. This NYX pencil is a super cheap alternative, and let’s be honest, nobody is critiquing our fucking brows right now.

So I don’t really give a fuck about what you use here but you need to gel them brows once you pencil them in, any clear gel will do.

Ok. The most important product, foundation. So I have two drugstore products I highly recommend and, I’ll be honest, I use them regardless of a pandemic. These are my ride or dies. The Wet n Wild Photo Focus is my #1 but most recently I’ve been wearing the L’Oreal Infallible

Once foundation is on, you’ll need to conceal. I use my concealer to brighten areas. I don’t have dark under eyes or bags. Trust me, God blessed me with some other horrible shit, just not under eye shit. Anyway, this product is light weight and lovely and cheap as hell.

If you use concealer, it will crease like a motherfucker if you don’t set it. You’ll need a setting powder. I recommend one of these.The Airspun is like a thousand years old and smells like Grandma the other is a pressed powder and good for brightening. Make sure it’s translucent

Ok let’s bronze and contour. We are gonna Just bronze here to create shadows. You do this under your cheekbones and along your hairline. I love this bronzer because it smells like coconuts and I forget that I’m quarantined in my house. Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer.

Ok Blush time. I’m gonna be honest. Blush and eyeshadow totally blows from a drugstore. So I’m trying to recommend things that suck the least. This E.L.F Quattro blush kit is so incredible and the pigment is lovely. There is even a bronzer in there.

Ugh eyeshadow. Like I said, this is where high end matters. My all time favorite is the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette. And to be honest, I’d just use a blush color or bronzer on my lids but if you need to, this one is like fine, I guess.

Let’s like those eyes. Right now, I make my cat eye with a Stila felt tip liner but times are tough and we need to improvise. I’ve used this Maybelline one for a minute and it totally gets the job done.

So Mascara is one of those products that you can totally go drugstore and nobody fucking notices anyway. I glue on fake lashes too so I don’t give a shit. L’Oreal Voluminous is my ride or die but this Essence one is what all the folx are talking about.

Finally once we’ve painted our face we need to set it. I love a dewy look so this NYX one is lovely but there is no denying that this Pixi setting spray is the shit.

Shit. I almost forgot highlighter. And dear god, in times like these, we need to glow. Once again, the all time best highlighter is Wet n Wild. MasterChrome is a close second but both are essential as a signal to the gods.
