For GOT7's Comeback: A thread on management in brief summary for fandom to organize itself. I promise someone I would think about something to promote G7, but I am busy so I can't. I can only give you some management ideas. They are just suggestions for you to take what you like.
First. Think about fandom unions. This is something that happened in my past fandom, but fanaccounts should become a union for projects. You guys probably done this already, but make it more organized and allow other fans to know which fanaccount is more trustworthy. Affiliations
Union is basically fanaccounts and fansites being affiliations to vouch for each other trustworthiness. Although make sure that you are transparent, if a fan-account is cheating the fandom, you should call them out.
Solo fans, they are not bad, they are fans of an individual member. So long as they respect other members, they are very beneficial to have. Utilize them. If they don't help out another member, that's fine too, their job is their bias. Don't force or guilt trip them.
Solo fans will help if you just leave them alone and not try to guilt trip or blame them for this and that. Their job is helping their bias, and that is good enough. Solo fanaccounts should also make an affiliation list and come together to help your bias.
Promotion: There are many fanaccounts in G7 fandom that do a lot but not that organized or effective for comeback era. There are meme makers, video edits. fancam posts, fact checkers. I recommend to make category and organize yourself into these category (union).
Those category can be your one duty that you have to do a few times a week etc. There are fans that can't do it all, can only do one or two so it would help if you allow fans to volunteer for one thing that they can do to help. Don't force them to do it all, don't do it all
Separate into those categories (duties). Get all the meme makers together, make the memes, give it to the promo team the one who scour for appropriate posts to post in. Post fancams, but make sure they're done in taste, in appropriate fun posts.
But becareful on posting fancams because you can be reported for spam, your account can be temporary ghosted to others. There are many misinformations about G7 on stan twitter, make sure you have a team with appropriate facts to just post when you see someone say something
wrong, don't argue or say anything, just have a list ready and post them. The point here is for other people to come and see it, not really for the OP. So be nice about it, just give facts, and that should be good.
Have some fun competition with each other. Make some facts related competition for new fans to play. Music competition: Make a poem out of G7's lyrics, write a short story using G7's song. Write a short paragraph using titles, etc etc. Drawing competition, cooking competition etc
Sometimes fandom is not all about your bias, fandom is finding friends and to find friends we need to know each other interests outside of GOT7. Drawing, writing, cooking etc are great hobbies to find friends.
Since it's rare to find G7's old albums. Make it as prizes for sales competition. Streaming team should do some practice each week. Set reasonable goal. Actually give out a number so everyone can reach. If you give no number, there is no incentive to finish a challenge.
It's more psychology base that if you set a number for number goals, it's easier to reach than you setting no number. But it have to be reasonable, and make it like a ladder. Don't straight out say you must reach 20million... yeah no LOL.
We don't know how physical sales will do in this climate, that is something we can never control. But DLs and Streams are categories that we can control. Set simple goals for those and have the team focus on that. Physical will be dealt with in general by fandom at large.
Each fanaccount on twitter has their own set of audience, when you do a project or something keep them in mind. If you say the right word, do the right thing, you'll see your audience help you out. Don't look at others, just cater to your own audience for the sake of GOT7.
The idea here is to do everything in an organized way while not exhausting your energy. And think more about longevity than front load anything. Keep it consistent, it might seem slow, but once everything picks up in traction, it'll snowball. G7 fandom haven't really prep for
anything, now that we have a quarantined, we all would have a lot of times, now would be a great time to prep for their comeback. Make your memes, build your connections, prepare your edits, work out your game ideas, competition, theories (...*look away*), don't be afraid
to talk about theories. Just you talking in general and creating buzz for G7 is good promo. Enjoy the music, but if it stimulate your mind to draw, to write, to talk about it in details then do talk about it. Fandom should encourage such stimulation as well. That help G7's music
The most because music is art, and art is meant to stimulate your brain. If you want people to look at G7's music, saying it 'it's good' isn't good enough, if people see you write stories, draw, and theorize on just one song, they'll seek it out to see why that is so.
But most importantly, just enjoy it. Do not worry about numbers. Keep them in mind, but don't worry if goal isn't reach. THE MOST IMPORTANT IS YOU ENJOYING IT! It'll rub off to others if you enjoy the music.
Actually, for this upcoming promo, set your goal like this: To make it enjoyable for the new ahgases and each other. Because we're in a limited promotional space, we have to make use of it by connecting to each other digitally. New fans will not get the full promo, so old fans
should help to make it an enjoyable time for them so they would stay. (This idea should be carried out for each promo period though lol.) anyway, I think I'm rambling and lost my points. I just want to say, there are many ways to be organized.
But it depend on how the fanaccounts and fandom is in compromising. Anyway, my thoughts are in jumbled, I have to get back to finishing up my storyboard and reflective essay lol, even my professor is asking me about my storyboard @_@. DM me if you need explanation for something.
