General Etiquettes: To whom it’s may concern.

-In restaurants or at parties
1. You can put on lipstick at the table. However, you should only apply mascara and powder in the bathroom.

2. If you need to brush your hair, do it in the ladies’ room, don’t rub your hand over it.
3. It’s rude to refill only your glass. First, ask if the person sitting next to you would like a refill.

- When you are a guest
1. Do not kiss the baby or carry him/her without parent’s permission.

2. Ask for where the bathroom is, do not assume it is the sport at the exit.
3. Do not get up and attempt to clear your plate on your first visit. Ask nicely if you can help when your host is clearing the table.

- Table Manners
1. Don’t put serving spoons on the table during or after dinner. Leave in the bowl so as not to make the tablecloth dirty.
2. When holding a teacup, place your fingers to the front and the back of the handle. However, you can loop your fingers around the handle when drinking coffee. (See image)
-General and Car Etiquette
1. When a lady gets into a car, she shouldn’t “step“ into it. She should sit on the edge of the seat and ”pull" her legs into the car. When getting out of the car, she should put her feet on the road and then stand up.
2. If you are sitting on a low chair, don’t cross your legs. Hold your knees together, and lean them to the side. You can cross your legs only if you put one foot right behind the other.

3. Always remember your please and thank yous.
4. If you're chewing gum in public, make sure not to smack it. Also, discard of gum before a dinner, meeting or interview. It is an unpleasant sight to chew gum in formal environments.

5. If you’re in a quiet room,do not shout on the phone. Using your indoor voice would suffice.
