Day 1: Favourite family - The Brannings - some of my favourite characters are in this family. They have a huge history with a lot of members and being around for so long (25 years!). They’ve been involved in so many different storylines. I think they’re quite underrated tbh.

Day 3 - Favourite Storyline - I cant pick one so I’m totally cheating. Here are my favourites from the 19 years I’ve watched EE:

Kat/Zoe mother reveal & aftermath (2001), Jamie’s death (2002), Trevor & Little Mo domestic abuse storyline (2001-2002), Shannis (2003-2005) ....

Leo and Demi’s Romeo and Juliet runaway storyline (2004), Sean’s mysterious arrival (2006), Stax affair and reveal (2007), Stella abuse (2007), Ronnie and Roxy arrival (2007), Ronnie and Danielle (2008-2009), Stacey bipolar (2009-2010), Who Killed Archie (2009-2010) ...

Stacey, Janine & Ryan love triangle (2010), Kat and Alfie return (2010), Baby swap (2010-2011), Sharon return (2012), Joey and Lauren (2012-2013), Stacey’s return (2014), Who killed Lucy (2014-2016), Sheanu (2018-2020) Ballum (2019-), Gray and Chantelle domestic violence (2019-)

And just a few little extras, last but not least - Steve Owens death (2002), who’s the father of Roxys baby (2008), Mad May trying to steal Dawn’s baby (2007-2008), Den Watts murder and aftermath (2005), Sean’s return (2019) and Jeans cancer and love story with Daniel (2019-2020)

Day 4 - Favourite Year - 2006/2007 - I’m cheating again but 2006/07 was the time that Eastenders really turned it around after a “questionable” few years (apart from Shannis obvs) Jack, Max, Tanya, Abi, Lauren, Bradley, Sean, Ronnie, Roxy, Shirley, Jay, the Masoods, the Foxes...

...& the Wicks all arrived in this period as well as the returns of Ben & Grant, we had May May, Crazy Stella, Janets birth, Grant/Jane affair, Stax affair, Denise’s Domestic Abuse & Steven returning to kidnap Ian. Those two years were honestly the golden era of Eastenders!

Day 5 - Favourite Current Character - Sharon Watts/Stacey Slater - I’m cheating through all of this but Sharon & Stacey are my favourites. We’ve seen them go through so much & grow up into strong, amazing, layered characters played by two of the best actresses Eastenders has

Day 6 - Favourite Past Character - cheating again but Sean & Dennis are the LOMLs. Poor misunderstood babies with more issues than a shrink could deal with. It’s such a shame we had so little of them (less than three yrs each) bc they (especially Dennis) were majorly underused

Day 7 - Favourite Ship - Sharon and Dennis - now I know this may come as a HUGE shock to some of you I’ve kept it well hidden I know but my heart will always lie with #Shannis #Eastenders (of course I also couldn’t resist writing a full essay on why they are my No1 )

I’ve missed a few days but I’m determined to finish this - Day 8 - Character you would bring back - (apart from Dennis/Sean) Janine Butcher, Grant & Courtney Mitchell, Little Mo Slater - All these characters still have family in the square and there’s so much storyline potential!

Day 9 - Story you‘d like to see - I always say they should‘ve done a historical abuse story with Dennis. It annoys me they only mentioned it once. It would’ve been groundbreaking! To stop this thread being all Shannis, I would’ve also LOVED a Grant/Kat affair. They had chemistry!
