I'm going to print using a 3D printer pen a flower pot base for my new tiny plant. Something like this. A thread.
I'm using a metal base to hold the model, covered in glue stick so the filament sticks better.
I want this pot base to be round. No way I'm doing this without a support. So I'm using a thermo cup as model.
Next step is to print a circle around the thermo cup model. Is a bit tricky to hold still the 3D pen when circling around, but not impossible.
Super bad picture, BUT, you just hold the circle and then pull the cup. You end up with a perfect circular base to continue printing.
Now slowly filling the inside, trying not to leave too many openings between the rows of filament.
Row after row, just filling the inner circle of the base.
Almost there.
Alright. So the base is done. Now to add some borders to contain the surplus of water when watering the plant 🌱
And... done. The border is actually quite difficult to do by hand.
I will do a final coating with glue to fill all the possible holes left by my unsteady hand.
And the end. 🌱❤️
