~ before getting to Lagos. As a lover of photography & aspiring one, I used to dream of meeting one of the best, Kelechi Amadi Obi cus I loved & still love his pictures a lot. On this day, I met him at the airport in Abuja ( struggled to catch his face cus of crowd ) but

~ Fortunately, I recognized him well. Now, being a very shy person, I knew I needed that opportunity to meet and talk to him about EVERYTHING cus I have prayed and looked forward to it. My best friend @olaoluwatroy was with me - took almost a min to explain who the man was

~ “Ehn go and talk to him nah” he said but I was shy!! Fortunately for me, the only thing I needed was the confidence- took me a few seconds to get through the crowd to meet him ( Getting to talk to him wasn’t as difficult as I thought it’d be )..

~ I introduced myself and the only thing my excitement could make me do was to ask for selfie so I could post online and show my friends that knew I liked him that much. I was about to continue when someone called him on his phone and that was it! The few secs I used to take

~ Pictures with him for the gram could have done a lot tbh. I felt so bad cus I couldn’t do anything to get him again - sent many messages online, attached the pictures to him but nothing! I could have asked for his card ? Number? Network anyhow but -

~ Few years later, I met him on a film set in Lagos, I was Assistant Director - I spoke to him and reminded him I was the young guy that met him ( couldn’t remember till later ).He spoke to me about it and that was it. I was lucky to meet him again even when I had the opportunity

~ to change everything - Thing is, know what you want when you meet people you really want to network with - Leave pictures aside if no time to do that - Focus on what you want and at all at all, you will get no response but still NETWORK AND SELL YOURSELF.
