Good point. Maybe all the places growing food should take this into account and stop shipping it more than 2 miles away from where it's grown. They wouldn't want to risk being shamed by a blue check, after all. https://twitter.com/mikiebarb/status/1245744504063352834
The NYT is nauseating. The blue check class has clowned themselves so many times in just the past month ("Bloomberg could give you a zillion bucks it's true!!") and there are no consequences. None. They just keep making bank, having WF deliver their groceries, & shaming the poor.
Is there a pundit who came up during the Iraq years who has shown any humility? Well, I guess they would have realized they shouldn't be pundits by this point. Is there a NYT-approved podcaster who ever learned a trade? Nah, their networks only trade in scorn and superiority.
Just like every debacle in the past 20 years, our Ivy League/PhD'd elites have fallen prey to the groupthink they claim to deride when it's Fox News, and lack any sort of religious/ethical framework which could make humility a virtue.
They project onto others what they struggle with internally: they think everyone else is as tribalistic, judgmental, unforgiving, narrow-minded, snivelling-lackey-desperate-for-teachers-approval as they are. The truth is the working class is infinitely, effortlessly cooler.
