I was born in California, and largely raised on the west coast. I now live in Washington. For my entire life, I have dealt with relatives and people in the Midwest, New England, and Southern states saying west coasters aren't "real Americans."

Since I got my first job, I have been paying federal taxes, as well as social security and unemployment taxes. I've never seen social security or unemployment benefits. I've paid my taxes willingly and on-time.

And now, the President of the UNITED STATES--not the President of people who support his politics, or the President of the south, or the President of his own business interests--is refusing federal aid to my state because our governor wasn't nice enough.

Well, asshole, you haven't been very nice to ME, and if you're going to be the ultimate in not-nice by setting me and my medically vulnerable friends up to die without the aid of the government I PAY TAXES to...

...maybe it's time to say that we're not "real Americans," and stop collecting our taxes. I would prefer to keep my money and maybe be able to buy a black market ventilator, if you're not going to use my tax dollars to help the state where I actually live.

And yes, I understand that allocation has to be according to greatest need, but we're an EPICENTER. The fact that we're an epicenter of liberals doesn't make us not dying, or not in need of federal aid.
