I waited one week. Now it's time for a short #StarTrekPicard ship thread 🚀
USS Zheng He, Curiosity-class - Star Trek: Picard (TV @michaelchabon 2020).
Note that there are several variants of the Curiosity-class, including these 2 warp nacelle designs.

(Note: Michael Chabon said on Instagram that there are -at least- four different classes in this fleet).
The name probably refers to Zheng He, a fifteenth century Chinese explorer and fleet admiral.
Note: there was already a USS Zheng He (Daedalus-class T), introduced in 2016 in #StarTrekOnline (apocryphal).
About the Prime universe, showrunner Michael Chabon said on his Instagram that the Curiosity-class is "brand new and "was freshly crewed and ready to go".

This ship was therefore created shortly before 2399, and long after the destruction of Romulus or the attack on Mars.
Acting Captain Riker: This ship is the "toughest, fastest, most powerful ship Starfleet ever put into service"
I don't know anything about the history of this design yet, but:

Artist John Eaves - who created the USS Enterprise-E - worked on Picard's Season 1 (and is already working on Seasons 2-3, according to his website).

Eaves have done this artwork for @trekonlinegame in 2006.
There is a family resemblance. 😇
There is also a slight air of resemblance to the USS Enterprise-E, Sovereign-Class, which we owe the design to John Eaves.
For my part, when the ship appeared on the screen, I believed for a couple of seconds that it was a revamped version of the Odyssey-Class from Star Trek Online.

A design created by Adam Ihle, Adam Williams & Jeremy Mattson, with later small additions by @Cryptic_TtC
In fact, I was waiting for the Enterprise-F in this scene, and the F is Odyssey-class in STO 😅

And no, that's clearly not the same ship.
I can't say I'm in love with this design, but time will tell.
It can however be noted that the deflector dish seems hidden, and the front looks like the NX-01.
Why does this fleet seem to consist only of variants of the same class? We are far from the DS9, First Contact and Disco fleets.

Presumably, after the events of Romulus and Mars, Starfleet developed a versatile ship, or a defense fleet. Or what Riker said (above).
More prosaically, the production times were perhaps too tight. The visual effects of this episode were only finished a week before its broadcast.

"What a crazy ride it was until the very last minute, but I think one of the best vfx we ever did."

Fun but not surprising fact: as usual, the USS Zheng He bridge set was a redress of the USS Discovery bridge set. Ancient and logical tradition.
The end, waiting for new information.
Thanks to @gaghyogi49 , who spoke with Michael Chabon , we know now my 1st tweet is false: the USS Zheng He is Inquiry-class, no Curiosity. The showrunner made a mistake during a Q / A.

Let's do it gain:

USS Zheng He, Inquiry-class - Star Trek: Picard (TV @michaelchabon 2020).
And more info about the Starfleet mmh fleet:

"There were three new classes of Starfleet ships approved for the climactic sequence. Whether all three can ultimately be seen or distinguished in the final screen version is unclear."
"1. A heavy cruiser: the Inquiry-class. That’s the Zheng He.

2. A carrier cruiser, similar to the Inquiry but with two distinctive forward “prongs” or “horns” off the elongated “saucer”: the Equity-class."

The third here: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Zheng_He_type#Inquiry_class
It would seem that if 3 different models of ships were planned, only the variants of the first were designed. probably for production time constraints (but I'm waiting to know more about this aspect).

The end again, for now ^^
