A brief aside- Job is *not* an *exhaustive* text regarding suffering, pain, and trauma...treating it as such has some extremely hurtful implications. (Breathing easier already)
One thought on why I say this- When you make Job the central point of suffering, when it explains everything there is to know about suffering...everything we need to know about it has to fit in nice neat containers that Job supposedly supplies. It becomes a mere manual
This provoked profound issues because someone determining the containers throws everything from rape-divorce-cancer *all* into the book of Job. Ultimately this leads to profound issues with God, the Gospel, And even the cross.
It is possible to take the Bible quite seriously without forcing the book of Job to carry the sheer weight of human suffering, sin, hardship and issues with theodicy etc
