THREAD: Update on the @rheum_covid / https://rheum-covid.org  provider registries:

We now have 110 patients in our registries (EULAR + Global). Approximately 70% are female, and 18% are over the age of 65.
Most patients in the registry have RA (36%), followed by PsA (17%), and SLE (17%).

A majority of patients were on conventional synthetic DMARDs prior to diagnosis (63%), almost half on biologics (45%); a quarter were on glucocorticoids, and a quarter on NSAIDS.
The predominant symptoms of COVID19 were: fever (79%), cough (77%), shortness of breath (50%), myalgia (45%), and sore throat (37%).

35% were hospitalized, and 5% are deceased.
The top comorbid conditions are: hypertension (28%), lung disease (20%), cardiovascular disease (11%), morbid obesity (8%), and diabetes (8%).
One frequently asked question: over 25% of patients who developed a COVID-19 were on HCQ at the time of diagnosis.
Additional data regarding patients on hydroxychloroquine from the first 110 patients:

Of the 22 individuals on HCQ, 7 have resolved COVID19 infection, 12 have unresolved infection, 3 unknown. There was 1 death.
8/22 have been hospitalized; of those NOT hospitalized, no medical intervention was reported.

4/8 of those hospitalized needed some type of supplemental oxygen or non-invasive/invasive ventilation
