Q: How can SSI recipients with no taxable income get stimulus checks?

A: By filing taxes. BUT as of this moment, returns with $0 in taxable income will be rejected. In 2008, IRS created a workaround so people could report $1 & get checks; we expect something similar soon. 2/
Q: Isn't there a better way for SSI recipients to get stimulus checks?

A: YES! We are pushing for automatic payments for SSI beneficiaries, just like Social Security beneficiaries will. More soon. 3/
Q: What should SSI recipients do RIGHT NOW?

A: Nothing. We are awaiting word from IRS, which says: "People who are generally...not required to file should wait, like...some veterans & individuals with disabilities. We will have more info soon. Check http://IRS.gov/coronavirus ." 4/
