Second, get the tools. Start with a cut buddy that will help you follow lines and curves AND this pencil to draw on your hairline while holding the cut buddy to your face.

Shape yourself up using the cut buddy and pencil to draw the lines. Then follow the lines.

Don’t try to taper your first time out. A good old fashioned Dark Caesar should be what most of y’all are aiming for.

For shape ups you need to hold the clippers horizontally and TAP and draw them down. Don’t scrape or hold in place too long or that alcohol burn is gonna be tragic. Start from the middle and go to one corner, then go back to the middle and go to the other corner.

But watch a YouTube tutorial on it and go slow- watch first, multiple times to know what movements you’re supposed to make.
