So, here it is, here is my thread where I review every single Horrible Histories sketch.
I won& #39;t be doing Savage Songs, the Proms, the Movie or anything that& #39;s either a rehash or not a skit at all.

S1E1 - Roman Funeral
It starts with a nice subversion of expectations. The way the funeral is juxtaposed with the fight.
All the facts learned are pretty interesting as well, notably that it evolved into gladiator sport.
Jim Howick was great at the end of this skit as well.

S1E1 - Gladiator School
Really silly interpretation of Gladiator Schools. And the students names are a nice touch which make me chuckle.
Learning about what a Retiarius and a Venator is neat but text appeared telling us exactly what the skit was saying and I disliked that.

S1E1 - Lice Warfare
Nice live action and cartoon mix. Although the only educational bit was the fried lice part. Still entertaining at least.

S1E1 - Ready Steady Feast: Paul Bomber
It& #39;s great to learn about ersatz food and what German soldiers used to eat as substitutes for food in the trenches.
The crescendo with the London milkman is funny, even if it is literally the definition of toilet humour.

S1E1 - The Black Spot
Learning about the black spot is interesting.
Daggers thinking he sees it everywhere (especially the Dalmatian) is really funny, and receives a payoff at the end of the skit.

S1E1 - Pirate Rules
The anticlimax of the rules is my kind of humour. And when it& #39;s challenged it gets dark, meaning that we& #39;re not left feeling teased as a result.

S1E1 - All Purpose Stone Age Tool Set!
The repetition of sharp stones being used for many purposes is very educational as well as putting a smile on my face. I kinda wish this was a shouty man skit tho.

S1E1 - Stone Age Burial Ritual
Finding out what gets buried with Stone Age chiefs is fascinating. And the way Mathew Baynton& #39;s caveman picked up and threw in the arm gets me every time xD

S1E1 - Warrior: Viking vs Monk
It& #39;s a very to the point way of describing Viking pillaging. It& #39;s also an interesting route to take describing it, having the framework be a video game.

S1E1 - Historical Hairdressers: Viking Hair Salon
It& #39;s interesting hearing about viking grooming habits, as well as how much they actually cared about their appearance.

also this one ends with my favourite Rattus Rattus moment
S1E1 - Twisted Fairytales: The Three Little Pigs - Georgian Edition
It& #39;s nice to reinvent fairytales, apply historical scenarios (here it& #39;s the window tax), and have a very unhappy ending. It& #39;s a genius idea as it& #39;s morbid and makes the period seem absurd

S1E1 - How to Vote in a Georgian Election
Perfect showcase of how corrupt politicians were back in Georgian times, & how voting was a joke as a result
I prefer it to to the Blackadder gag as its clearer. They& #39;re equally as funny but the simpler the gag, the more effective it is

S1E1 SONG - The 4 Georges: Born 2 Rule
One of the greatest songs in the entire show. It& #39;s slow, yet still really catchy. The video is the most simple but it& #39;s what it needed.
Too bad they got the wrong George when singing about the toilet based death

S1E2 - Shouty Man: Pee-Sil non bio
THE FIRST SHOUTY MAN SKETCH! It& #39;s educational mainly, and the comedy mostly derives from shouty man as a concept and toilet humour. So objectively this isn& #39;t that great a sketch but it& #39;s still enjoyable for Jim Howick& #39;s Shouty Man character

S1E2 - Middle Ages Toilets
Not much comedy here but its mainly educational. Learning about the history of toilets is very Horrible Histories and I love it for that. Although the jokes are mostly poop, how they settled on new toilets is surprisingly satirical of conservatives imo

S1E2 - Shouty Man: Pee-Sil non bio [Part 2]
This skit continued, I guess they had too much material to work with even though all they& #39;re talking about is piss? But the interaction between the cartoon Roman and the cast is neat, wish it happened more, and it was also educational
