The #localgov role in the #COVIDー19 response is being massively underplayed by govt & national media. Perhaps because it’s so wide-ranging & as always with councils, heavily skewed towards supporting the most vulnerable so is never quite seen as mainstream?
So to show how wide & complex #localgov #COVID19 role is, here is a non-exhaustive list of what councils are currently doing simultaneously:

I’ve probably missed out loads of things (please add!) I’m exhausted just listing it all. The role #localgov plays is much more than the sum of its parts. It should be valued & understood in our national discourse, rather than sidelined or downplayed.
