I’m gonna be real with you guys, I am under the impression that the brothers aren’t actually related.

Someone messaged the devs about the brothers being related and they said “they are not brothers the way we understand” “they were instead created by the same person”. (1/?) https://twitter.com/TheLocalGremlin/status/1217259868752687104
Weren’t all the angels created by God?
If they were related, would that not imply that ALL the angels are related, including Simeon?

I’m bringing this up because if the brothers are actually related to each other, then that would mean that MC is also (distantly) related (2/?)
to them by being a descendant of their sister, Lilith. There’s also been a few instances of sexual innuendoes between them in the story (especially coming from Asmo) which would be weird if they were related.

The Obey Me! wiki says “When Lilith was (3/?)
reincarnated as a human, she no longer shared the relation with her former brothers as she was reborn a human. With MC being her descendant, MC is not biologically related to the brothers.

It's also important to note that neither of the brothers are related by blood to (4/?)
begin with, as they were all created, not born (in a human sense).”

So apparently NOBODY is related.

My interpretation is that they’re “brothers in arms” because they banded together to rebel during the Celestial War because they were all close and cared for Lilith. (5/?)
So with all that context, what does that mean in regards to shipping the brothers?

I’ve seen it a few times on my tl and I’ve also seen others admonish against it.

Personally, I’m not about it. For some, just the title of “brother” is enough to put people off. (6/?)
However, I don’t think it’s fair to vilify people that DO ship them together, especially because they are NOT related.

If you disagree, please don’t be rude about it. We can have different interpretations and still be civil. (7/7)
