The @Oxford_CSAE conference has gone virtual and this is my last chance to present the results of a cluster-RCT of a technology-aided instruction program for community schools in Zambia focused on @Impact_Network's eSchool 360 model https://custom.cvent.com/4E741122FD8B4A1B97E483EC8BB51CC4/files/Event/ca4fa1845a194f7fa5fed5711b3c0a8f/ac1ba62ed1ed424d965d77ad83acabde.pdf #DIYCSAE
Still a lot of evidence needed on the impact of e-learning in sub-Saharan Africa and this study shows some promising evidence that better integrating technology into education has positive effects on learning outcomes in rural sub-Saharan Africa
The program focuses on community schools, which are common in rural Zambia; however, they are often staffed by untrained, underpaid teachers who lack access to quality lesson plans , management skills, and basic supplies
@Impact_Network implements a program that introduces a standardized e-learning curriculum with lesson plans for teachers and interactive lessons for students as well as frequent teacher coaching and professional development of teachers who come from the community
