My Physical Distancing Vanity Project: "The Beatles Abridged"!

All 188 originals from the Beatles' main catalogue, shortened to 15 seconds. Each one conceived & recorded in 15 minutes, one take, no overdubs.

Inspired by @ZachWeiner's "Abridged Beyond The Point Of Usefulness" series, and the "Tick Tocks" those kids are doing these days...

I plan to share one a day until public health measures are lifted or I run out of songs, whichever comes first!

Day 5 of #TheBeatlesAbridged is "All You Need Is Love".

It's the first single to appear - and the first abridged version to feature nothing but the title phrase in the lyrics! https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/all-you-need-is-love
Day 6 is an early gem, "And I Love Her". 15 seconds doesn't leave enough time for the key change, but I did squeeze in that last lovely chord :) #TheBeatlesAbridged https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/and-i-love-her
Day 7, "And Your Bird Can Sing" #TheBeatlesAbridged

This was the toughest so far, because I could hardly bear to butcher one of my favourite Beatles songs, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out nevertheless! https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/and-your-bird-can-sing
Day 8 is "Another Girl", one of a few middle-period songs which might be categorised as "Paul Imitating John"! #TheBeatlesAbridged https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/another-girl
Day 9: "Any Time At All". A rather throwaway song from John, IMHO - written at the last minute for "A Hard Day's Night"... #TheBeatlesAbridged https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/any-time-at-all
Day 10 of #TheBeatlesAbridged is "Ask Me Why", and that's the A's done! This is another surprisingly complex early number. https://soundcloud.com/user-653446889/ask-me-why
(Nerdy musicological note: the first 10 days have taught me that John bloody loved him some minor iv chords, with 3 appearances so far!)
