Short answer to why I moved to japan is I don’t know. I was fascinated with Japan since I was young. Later my interest in games just fueled it more. My dream in 6th grade was to move to Japan. At 20 I had a great career but left everything to study Japanese here for 1 year.

Ended up doing well, getting married to my pen pal, and finding full time work. The rest is history ^^ I don’t feel like I am Japanese or was in some past life, I just always felt drawn here. The moment I touched down it felt ‘comfortable’ I have no idea how to explain it.

The thing that helped me is an appetite for the unknown and adventure, and not having any actual ideas of what life in japan would be like before I moved here. No expectations just excitement and openness to relearn everything I thought I knew. Anyway that’s the short answer!
