it's weird how this map about how ppl in the south are still traveling corresponds directly to the locations of food deserts in this country. these 2 things are probably totally unrelated, I'm sure
I'm all for shitting on the South, it's usually deserved and it's where I'm from. but y'all can fuck right off blaming a bunch of poor people who don't live close to grocery stores for this problem.
if it was correlated to Dem vs Rep govs, then VA and KY wouldn't have these issues. if it were blue vs red counties, then south FL and Atlanta should both be largely clear along with Houston. I'm sorry to say but voting Dem alone isn't going to fix this, the issues are too deep
you can tell how badly Americans have internalized the idea that if you just vote Dem, everything will be fine and that's not the case. so many of y'all just banging your heads against the wall to say that this is all an issue of voting preference and not of systemic problems
this is about to be the quickest I've ever muted a thread but while you're here thinking about awful, real world shit, maybe check out the Star Wars podcast I co-host? give you something else to think about? http://SoundCloud.com/photor-pod
