Story time!
So last night we received a call that a confirmed Corona patient, Ali Sher, had escaped from Islamabad and came home to meet his parents 'one last night'. I immediately called Rescue 1122 and they escorted him to GM Hospital Faisalabad for testing and treatment. (1)
Patient was droppws at the hospital. Doctors checked him. Delivery report communicared to DC Control Room. All okay until then.

Today, I received another call about the patient never having arrived at the hospital. There was a chance that he escaped from the hospital again. (2)
Started tracking him again and found out that he had once reached his house in the middle of the night. Authorities wanted for me to take a stricter action this time by arresting the patient and have his house under quarantine.
Sent police and rescue to his house once again. (3)
He had escaped again before the police and rescue could arrive at his house. This was worrying.

We got hold of one of his acquaintances who told us that Ali Sher didn't run away from nor is he a Corona patient. He was cleared by doctors and returmed home in the 1122 vehicle. (4)
The authorities were not satisfied. They wanted him back for testing but since he had run away again, I had to trace him first.

I pressured his acquaintance into telling me where he had run away. He assured that Ali Sher will comply and reach the hospital himself. (5)
At 2pm, the police and rescue 1122 teams were sent back and we were promised that Ali Sher will be at the hospital. We had to accept this because any strictness would cause panic.

At 5:30pm, there was no sign of Ali Sher and the acquaintance had switched off his phone. 😐 (6)
Using all my resources, I tracked down the house of acquaintance and reached their will a heavy police squad. A little bit of 'insisting', out came Maqsood the acquaintance.

His first words were, "Sir ji, Ali Sher mere paas hai par mein sirf apko uss se milne dunga." (7)
I was hesitant. This guy was a suspect case and there was a lot of risk involved in meeting him alone. I presented a counter proposal. I would sent police and everyone else if he brought Ali Sher out. Maqsood agreed and we finally got to see Ali Sher and he was crying. (8)
Maqsood told me that Ali Sher doesn't have corona. He had an upset stomach. Due to a personal fued in the village, he was labelled as a corona patient for a simple illness.
His family had been humiliated because of constant visits from police, rescue, numberdaar, etc. (9)
He hid because of panic and shame, not because of Corona. I reassured him that Ali Sher will safely return home after getting tested.
I then personally escorted both of them to the hospital where the doctors asked to keep Ali Sher in observation until his results would come. (10)
Ali Sher is in hospital right now, getting tested properly. Maqsood has taken the responsibility of quarantining Ali Sher's and his family till results arrive.
His only request, that if the test comes out negative, those who played this cruel prank must be taken to task. (11)
Regardless of what result comes out, there are two takeaways from this experience:
1. Please do not run or do not hide if u're a suspect case or have been reported as one. Cooperate with the authorities. Hesitancy nd non-cooperation will only make matters worse for everyone. (12)
2. If you're using corona as an excuse to settle personal disputes and it has caused someone psychological and physical stress and resources to the authorities, believe me, an example will be made out of you.

And in this case, we're all prepared to mae one. (13)
