I’ve had a truly inspiring today here in @Royal_Greenwich so far and it was absolutely brilliant to visit our community hub earlier with @MattHartley100 which we are delivering in partnership with @CAFCTrust as part of our response to #COVID19 in #Greenwich #CouncilsCan

We know that this crisis means a lot of people are going to need our help in a lot of different ways - the work @CAFCTrust are helping with is specifically helping isolated people who are vulnerable, self isolating and without support networks to help them.

To give a sense of scale, the level of calls across the week so far: M - 800 T- 1215 W - 1400. Today, 211 food packages are being distributed. 46 prescriptions have been dispensed and will be delivered by this team. Incredible stuff which is making a difference.

I also just had my first really emotional moment thanking all of our adult social care, public health & NHS teams who are doing INCREDIBLE things. The professional & personal challenge around responding to #COVID19 is just enormous & I’m truly lucky to have such a dedicated team.
