in the same way we NEED a yardstick for our public officials, whose every action affects society; but the marginalized, above all. just as our stance on socioeconomic issues (as the youth) personify we really are and what kind of influence we hold.

btw, just because a "position" is mentioned doesn't immediately make a statement ad hominem. if that was the case, everything anyone said about each president senator, etc. would be ad hominem. if natamaan ka, natamaan ka periodt.
